Tokens

Launch a token in one transaction. Fair mint, free transfers, balances anyone can recompute.

Inspired by Bitcoin's BRC-20 and native to Quantus, a Qlyphs token needs no smart contract and no special chain. It lives in ordinary Quantus transactions, and its balances are simply what you get by reading those transactions in order.

That choice has a practical consequence: there is no contract that could contain a bug, be upgraded behind your back, or be paused by its author. The rules are the rules, for everyone, from the first block.

A token's life, from launch to send

Follow one token, GLYF, from the moment it is created to the moment it is sent between two people. The numbers in the card change as you read.

    1. 01 / 05

      You launch GLYF

You pick a symbol, a maximum supply and a mint rule: how much one mint creates, and whether anyone may mint or only you. You send one transaction and pay 1 QTC. From that block on, GLYF exists on Quantus, with rules that cannot be changed later.

    2. 02 / 05

      Anyone can mint

Minting is open. Each mint creates a fixed amount, here 10,000 GLYF, and costs 0.01 QTC. There is no presale and no hidden allocation: the first person to mint is treated exactly like the hundredth. First come, first served.

    3. 03 / 05

      The supply fills up

Mints keep landing, block after block. Each one is checked against the rules set at launch: is there supply left, is the amount right, was the fee paid. A mint that breaks a rule is simply ignored and changes nothing.

    4. 04 / 05

      The supply is complete

The last 10,000 GLYF are minted and the counter reaches 100%. The total supply is now fixed forever. Nobody, not even the creator, can mint one more token.

    5. 05 / 05

      Holders send freely

From here GLYF moves like QTC: you can send any amount to any address. Qlyphs charges nothing for it, you only pay the ordinary Quantus network fee. Tokens can also be put up for sale in the market.

What you decide when you launch

You choose four things, and they are fixed once the token exists:

    • A unique symbol. Two tokens cannot share one, so a symbol always points to the same token.
    • A maximum supply. The most that will ever exist.
    • The amount of one mint. How much a single mint creates.
    • Who can mint. Everyone, or only you.

Launching costs 1 QTC and is one transaction. There is nothing to deploy, audit or host.

    Fair by construction

Each mint costs 0.01 QTC and creates the fixed amount you chose, until the maximum supply is reached. There is no presale and no hidden allocation, because the rules that could allow one do not exist. Everybody who mints follows the same path, in the order the chain saw them.

    Sending is free

Sending tokens costs nothing on the Qlyphs side. You only pay the Quantus network fee, exactly like sending QTC.

    Every rule, enforced

The fee and the operation travel together, all or nothing: a launch or a mint that does not pay its fee simply does not happen. An operation that breaks a rule is rejected and changes nothing. Because the rules are applied in the same way every time, replaying the chain always gives the same balances. Anyone can check them.
